Washington Governor Jay Inslee has declared a state of emergency in response to multiple wildfires across the state. Violent Clashes in Bangladesh: Student Protests Claim Nearly 100 Lives
In Bangladesh, recent student protests over a controversial job quota system have escalated into violent clashes, resulting in nearly 100 deaths and thousands of arrests. The government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, imposed a curfew and deployed military forces to manage the situation. The protests, initially focused on demanding job quota reforms, have expanded into a broader movement against government corruption and inequality. Sheikh Hasina has accused the opposition of instigating the violence, further intensifying political tensions in the country.
