Scandal at Police Training Academy: Multiple Female Cadets Speak Out on Instructor's Misconduct.
Two former cadets at Washington's police academy have filed a lawsuit against Officer LeLand Allen, alleging prolonged sexual harassment during their training. The cadets, Haydyn Wagner and Aimee Allen, are among several women from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy Class 828 who have voiced concerns about Allen's inappropriate behavior. An external investigation by Northwest Workplace Law confirmed the allegations, leading to an ongoing evaluation of Allen's certification by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission. The lawsuit also cites multiple violations and includes the Port of Seattle Police Department and the WSCJTC as defendants. The outcome of the case might hinge on an upcoming decision from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals regarding qualified immunity provisions.

Throwback Uniforms and Game-Changing Plays: Seattle Seahawks' Day to Remember!
Geno Smith led the Seattle Seahawks to a 24-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns, making a game-winning touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Despite challenges from a top NFL defense, Smith completed a crucial final drive. The Seahawks, now 5-2, capitalized on an interception from the Browns' quarterback, P.J. Walker, and managed to turn the tide in their favor. On the other hand, Walker faced difficulties, with three turnovers in the game. Additionally, the Seahawks sported their vintage uniforms from the 1976 to 2001 era, planning to wear them again in an upcoming game, much to the fans' delight.

Acapulco in Crisis: Hurricane Otis Leaves Sunken Boats and a Rising Death Toll!
After Hurricane Otis hit Acapulco, Kristian Vera discovered many sunken boats, including three of hers. The storm's official death toll stands at 39 with 10 missing, but this figure is expected to rise. The hurricane unexpectedly intensified from a tropical storm to a Category 5, catching many off-guard. Acapulco's main areas are being cleared and restored, but outer neighborhoods lack resources and assistance. Many residents, like Orlando Mendoza, are doing their best to gather essentials for their families. The government and military are stepping in to aid, restore power, and maintain order, but challenges remain, including the lack of electricity and damaged homes.

I Met a Man on the London Bridge
I met an old man on the London Bridge. As the sun set on the ridge, he tipped his hat and drew his name and cheated at the guessing game. What was the man’s name?
Answer will be in the next issue.
The “Four Hat” Riddle
The answer:
Prisoner C (who calls out that he is wearing a black hat).
The explanation
As vexing as it might seem, the “four hats” riddle can be solved using the process of elimination. And two of the prisoners (prisoners A and B) can be eliminated right off the bat. That’s because neither can see any of the other prisoners, so neither possesses any information with which to make an educated guess.
That leaves just prisoners C and D.
Prisoner D might seem the obvious choice because he can see the hats of both prisoners C and B in front of him, whereas prisoner C can see only the hat of prisoner B. Indeed, if prisoners B and C were wearing the same color hat, then prisoner D would have known immediately that he was wearing the other color. However, in this scenario, prisoners B and C are wearing different colored hats. Seeing this, prisoner D, in effect, has no more information than prisoners A and B. Accordingly, he too is left in the position of being unable to make an educated guess.
As for prisoner C, prisoner D’s silence is all the information he needs. Had prisoner C and prisoner B been wearing the same color hat, prisoner C surmises, then surely prisoner D would have piped up with the answer already. Accordingly, at the end of the 10 minutes, prisoner C deduces that he and prisoner B must be wearing different color hats. And since prisoner C can see that Prisoner B is wearing a white hat, then prisoner C knows that he must be wearing a black hat.
Thank you to those that played along and put in their guesses. If you guessed C you were correct!
