Tragedy Strikes Marysville Mobile Home Park: Teenager Lost to Flames.
A heart-wrenching event took place early Sunday at the Three Rivers Mobile Home Park on Elliott Road in Marysville, where a fire consumed a camper trailer. Although three individuals managed to escape, a teenager was tragically trapped and later found deceased in the trailer's sleeping area. As firefighters doused the flames and the Red Cross provided assistance to the displaced, the Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office initiated an investigation. In light of this, the public has been advised to be cautious about placing combustibles near heating sources.

Washington Senator's "Unintentional Oversight" Leads to Dropped Gun Charge in Hong Kong.
Jeff Wilson, a Washington state senator, faced a reprieve on Monday when a Hong Kong court dismissed a firearm charge against him. He had unintentionally carried a gun into Hong Kong, acknowledging the oversight openly at the airport. Principal Magistrate Don So issued a bind-over order, directing Wilson to avoid further firearm offenses for two years, with a potential penalty for non-compliance. While the gun was registered in Washington, Hong Kong's stringent firearm laws posed potential severe penalties. Wilson, on a vacation with his wife, discovered the firearm during a flight and later expressed relief and apologies on his website, attributing the oversight to rushed packing.

Tensions Rise as Russia Accuses West of Fanning Flames of Anti-Israel Riot.
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently pointed fingers at the West, especially the U.S. and Ukraine, blaming them for orchestrating an anti-Israel disturbance in the Russian republic of Dagestan's Makhachkala airport. Putin insinuated that the U.S. administration and its associates are the primary beneficiaries of such global unrest. The U.S. swiftly refuted these assertions, with the National Security Council spokesperson, John Kirby, highlighting them as consistent with Russia's usual rhetoric. He labeled the event as sheer prejudice and intimidation. Similarly, Ukraine has disavowed any involvement. During the airport disruption, an inflamed crowd was apparently searching for Tel Aviv flight passengers, with some even voicing antisemitic chants. Russia, meanwhile, wrestles with its own internal ethnic strife and intricate Middle Eastern affiliations.

Who killed Mrs. Smith? riddle
Mrs. Smith was killed in her home on a Sunday evening. There were five people in the house at the time of the murder. The police asked each person what they were doing at the time of Mrs. Smith’s murder. During questioning, not surprisingly, each of the five offers up a seemingly plausible alibi:
“I was in the kitchen, making dinner,” said the chef.
“I was down in the wine cellar, retrieving a bottle for supper,” claimed the butler.
“I was in the dining room, setting the table for the evening meal,” said the maid.
“I was outside in the yard, pruning trees with a pair of shears,” claimed the gardener.
“And I was out in the garden, doing a bit of stargazing, a beloved pastime,” said her husband, Mr. Smith.
On careful scrutiny, one of these alibis simply does not jibe. Can you guess which one it is, and solve the riddle?
Answer will be in the next issue.
How many numbers are on a clock riddle.
The answer:
There are 15 numbers on a clock. These are, in clockwise order starting right at the top: 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 1, 0, 1 and 1.
Strictly speaking, in the math universe, there are really only 10 “numbers.” These are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0. Together, these combine to form an infinite array of numerical figures. On a clock, what we read as 10, 11 and 12 are actually three numerical figures comprised of two numbers each. In other words, while the hours of a clock are depicted as being 1 through 12, the actual amount of numbers on a clock total 15.
