Gaza Hospitals in Crisis Amid Conflict; Al-Quds Shuts, Al-Shifa Under Siege

Gaza's healthcare is in crisis, with Al-Quds Hospital shut down and Al-Shifa Hospital, besieged and running low on essential supplies. Despite an evacuation corridor by Israel, no confirmed exits have occurred from Al-Shifa. The conflict's wider implications include the largest single-day evacuation through Rafah crossing, Netanyahu's allegations against Hamas and dismissal of the Palestinian Authority, lost communications with northern Gaza hospitals, heightened Israeli-Hezbollah tensions, and international responses, including large anti-antisemitism protests in France.

Seattle Seahawks Triumph in Last-Second Victory Over Washington Commanders

The Seattle Seahawks secured a thrilling 29-26 victory over the Washington Commanders, thanks to a stellar performance by quarterback Geno Smith. Smith was pivotal in the Seahawks' success, completing 31 of 47 passes for 369 yards and two touchdowns. His leadership in the final quarter, marked by two crucial scoring drives, set the stage for Jason Myers' decisive 43-yard field goal. Sam Howell of the Commanders also played impressively, but the Seahawks' defense, led by record-setting Boye Mafe, held strong. This win was a significant rebound for Seattle, keeping them at the top of the NFC West alongside San Francisco.

Oilers Snap Losing Streak with Hyman’s Historic Performance

Zach Hyman's exceptional skill shone brightly as he scored a natural hat trick in the first period, propelling the Edmonton Oilers to a decisive 4-1 win against the Seattle Kraken. This performance ended the Oilers' four-game losing streak and etched Hyman's name in the team's history. While Hyman stole the spotlight, Dylan Holloway also scored, and goaltender Stuart Skinner played a pivotal role in defense. The Kraken struggled to find their rhythm, with Jaden Schwartz’s goal being a lone highlight in their otherwise lackluster performance.

Seattle Shooting: Police Arrest 33-Year-Old Suspect in Rainier Beach Incident

Seattle Police Department responded to a shooting in Rainier Beach, where a 53-year-old man was critically wounded. A 33-year-old suspect was arrested nearby and is being held at King County Jail on assault charges. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
