Snohomish County Crime Wave Hits Home: Local Butcher Shop Burglarized

Double DD Meats, a historic butcher shop in Mountlake Terrace, was the victim of a burglary. A masked thief broke the front window, stole a safe containing significant cash, employee tips, and charity funds, and also took a gumball machine. This burglary reflects a wider pattern in Snohomish County, where businesses are increasingly targeted. The shop owner, committed to community and security, plans to install a more secure safe.

Against All Odds: The Remarkable Story of Survival and Rescue in Uttarakhand's Silkyara Tunnel Collapse

In a remarkable rescue operation in Uttarakhand, India, 41 workers were saved after being trapped for 17 days in the collapsed Silkyara tunnel, part of the Himalayan Char Dham project. The tunnel caved in due to a landslide on November 12. The rescue, marked by significant challenges, involved manual drilling by "rat-hole" miners who cleared the debris. Throughout the ordeal, trapped workers were provided with essentials like oxygen, food, and water through a pipe. The workers, mostly in their 20s, were in good health upon rescue. The incident drew widespread attention and praise, including from India's President Droupadi Murmu. It also raised environmental concerns, with the rapid construction in the region being blamed for contributing to the collapse. The event underscores the risks of large infrastructure projects in ecologically sensitive areas and the resilience and courage in emergency response efforts.

Answer to the If I had 4 eggs riddle

The answer to this riddle is… three! I have three eggs. It all hinges on one very important word: If. If I had 4 eggs… implying that I don’t actually have them! That’s right, those first four eggs that we all took for granted are actually just an eggcellent fantasy. (Sorry). You have four imaginary eggs, but then a kindly thief happens by and gives you three. Roosters can’t lay eggs, so those five are impossible, which leaves you with a total of three eggs!
