Heavy Rainfall Triggers Traffic Chaos in Snohomish County
Heavy rain in Snohomish County caused multiple vehicular accidents due to standing water on key roads. Troopers responded to numerous crashes and advised caution, especially in areas prone to flooding. Key areas affected included Interstate 5, Interstate 405, and State Route 530, where significant standing water was noted. The presence of an atmospheric river over Western Washington further exacerbated conditions, heightening the risk of more standing water and potential flooding on roads.
