Tech Leads to Arrest in Bellingham Murder: Nine Months After Tragic Shooting

The Bellingham Police Department has arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the March 2023 shooting death of Henry Howard King. The arrest, made in Marysville, comes after a nine-month investigation involving cell phone data analysis and witness testimonies. The suspect, linked to multiple 9mm pistols and the murder weapon, has allegedly confessed to the shooting.

U.S. and Guyana to Conduct Joint Military Drills Amid Venezuelan Border Tensions

The United States plans joint flight drills with Guyana amid escalating tensions with Venezuela over the Essequibo region. The U.S. supports Guyana's sovereignty and seeks a peaceful resolution to the dispute. Venezuela's recent actions, including oil exploration in Essequibo and rejection of the ICJ's jurisdiction, have raised concerns of a potential military conflict in South America.

Spritz Cookies

Ingredients:

2 1/4 Cups all-purpose flour

1 Teaspoon salt

1/2 Cup sugar

1 Cup margarine or butter, softened

1 Egg

1 Teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400F

2. Mix butter & sugar

3. Once well-combined, add remaining ingredients

4. Add mix to a cookie press, and press onto ungreased

cookie sheet

5. Bake for 6-9 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown
