U.N. Calls for Urgent Ceasefire in Gaza as Humanitarian Crisis Worsens

The U.N. demands an immediate ceasefire in Gaza amid a worsening humanitarian crisis. The General Assembly's resolution, opposed by the U.S. and Israel, calls for an end to hostilities. Half of Gaza's population faces starvation, and essential services are lacking. President Biden warns Israel of losing international support, and other countries express concerns about civilian suffering. Israeli military operations continue, with significant casualties and concerning actions like hospital raids.
