Futuristic Festivities at the Needle: Seattle Welcomes 2024 with Robots and Lights!

The Space Needle in Seattle is preparing for an extraordinary T-Mobile New Year's celebration to welcome 2024. This year's event will feature an extended show, including a novel flying robot display, musically choreographed light shows, and traditional fireworks. For the first time since 2019, the public is invited to watch from the Seattle Center campus. The celebration, set to be the largest in its 32-year history, will be broadcast live in Seattle, Portland, and Spokane. This innovative and festive event promises to be a memorable start to the new year.

Grieving Family Faces DUI Perpetrator in Court, Offers Forgiveness Amidst Loss

Elliott Bagley, convicted of vehicular manslaughter for killing Tauscha Schmidt and Justin Wilkerson while driving under the influence, was sentenced to nearly eight years in prison in Snohomish County. The couple's eldest daughter, Karen Schmidt, offered forgiveness in court, despite the tragedy that left her and her siblings orphaned. Family members called for serious consequences while acknowledging Bagley's remorse. Bagley's sentence was influenced by his guilty plea and lack of prior criminal record.
