Health Alert: COVID-19, Flu, and RSV Surge Triggers Mask Mandate in Snohomish Healthcare Facilities
Snohomish County's Health Department has recommended the reinstatement of universal masking in healthcare facilities due to elevated levels of COVID-19, influenza, and RSV. This decision follows an increase in these respiratory illnesses, surpassing previously set safety thresholds. The masking mandate will continue until the transmission rates of these illnesses decrease and hospital admission levels for COVID-19 drop for a sustained period.

Concealed Hamas Tunnel Reveals Gaps in Israeli Defense Systems
The Israeli military discovered a large tunnel near the Erez crossing, used by Hamas militants in a deadly assault on October 7. This tunnel, part of a vast network, facilitated the movement of vehicles and militants, leading to the death of at least three soldiers and the kidnapping of others. Israeli intelligence and defense systems failed to detect the tunnel, which was concealed under a garage. The Erez crossing suffered significant damage and remains closed. Israeli forces are now focused on dismantling the tunnel network and rescuing hostages.
