NLRB Judge Rules Against Starbucks in Union-Related Firing Case

A federal judge at the NLRB ruled that Starbucks unlawfully fired and denied promotion to Quinn McCoy, a barista in Marysville, Washington, due to their union activities. Despite McCoy's exemplary record, including two "Partner of the Quarter" awards, they faced repercussions after organizing a strike and participating in union efforts. The judge ordered Starbucks to reinstate and promote McCoy, along with displaying a notice of their labor law breaches. Starbucks plans to appeal the decision, which comes amid other cases of the company's alleged anti-union actions.
