Decision Day for Marysville: Will Voters Extend the Infrastructure Sales Tax?
Marysville voters are set to decide on the renewal of a crucial 0.2% sales tax that funds road and sidewalk improvements. Since its approval in 2014, the tax has generated about $3 million annually, significantly benefiting the city's infrastructure and ability to secure additional grants. Mayor Jon Nehring emphasizes the importance of renewing the tax, which also strategically involves both residents and visitors in funding city improvements. As opinions among residents vary, the outcome of this ballot measure will determine the future of Marysville's transportation infrastructure.
