Community Invited to Shape Future of Bayview Trail Extension at Upcoming Open House
An open house event will be held on March 7, 2024, at The Mill on Lake Stevens, to discuss the Bayview Trail extension project. Community feedback is sought to influence the project's design, with options to participate both in-person and online through a survey available until April 1, 2024. The project, supported by a $504,700 grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce, aims to extend the trail to nearly eight miles, connecting Lake Stevens with southeast Marysville and the Centennial Trail. Additional funding is needed to complete the design and start construction. To visit the survey and project page, please visit https://mpt.link/BayviewTrailConnector.

UK Parliament Erupts in Chaos Over Israel-Hamas Cease-Fire Debate
The UK's House of Commons witnessed a chaotic debate over the Israel-Hamas conflict, ending in a divisive call for a cease-fire. The session was marked by contention over parliamentary procedures and the deep divisions within UK politics regarding the conflict. Three motions were presented, leading to a procedural controversy and a walkout by some lawmakers. In the end, a call for an "immediate humanitarian cease-fire" was passed in a somewhat tumultuous manner.
