Snohomish and Seattle Narrow Down Outages from Thousands to Hundreds
Seattle and Snohomish County witnessed extensive power outages affecting thousands of residents throughout Sunday. The number of affected customers peaked at 7,200 before Seattle City Light and Snohomish PUD managed to significantly reduce those figures to about 280 and 1,550, respectively. The utilities worked diligently to address the disruptions, particularly in areas like South Seattle and Woods Creek. Residents were encouraged to report unlisted outages and advised to steer clear of any fallen power lines.

International Forces Respond to Houthi Aggression in Strategic Red Sea Operations
A U.S.-U.K.-led coalition conducted targeted strikes on Houthi forces in Yemen in response to their threats to maritime security in the Red Sea. The operation targeted weapon storage, defense systems, and other strategic assets to counter the Houthis' assaults on global trade routes. This action, supported by six other nations, underscores the international community's effort to maintain regional stability and secure critical maritime corridors. The U.S. emphasizes a strategy of accountability for the Houthis, while aiming to avoid further regional escalation.
