Marysville School District and Tulalip Tribes to Fast-Track COVID-19 Vaccines for Teachers
The Marysville School District, in partnership with the Tulalip Tribes, plans to vaccinate its educators against COVID-19 ahead of many other districts in Washington state. This initiative, aimed at teachers and staff in direct contact with students, diverges from Governor Jay Inslee's approach of not prioritizing educators in the state's vaccination schedule due to dose scarcity. Inslee advocates for the reopening of schools with safety measures in place, while the state's phased vaccine rollout currently limits eligibility based on age and living conditions.

Ceasefire and Aid Delivery in Focus as Israel Expands Gaza Operations
President Biden expresses hope for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas to commence early next week, aiming to facilitate humanitarian aid delivery and hostage releases.
