New Toll Pricing and Extended Hours on I-405 and SR 167 Start Friday

Motorists on I-405 and SR 167 will face higher tolls from March 1, with rates going up to $15 and the minimum toll set at $1. Tolling hours and HOV policies will also be extended to 8 p.m. The Washington State Transportation Commission's decision aims to improve travel speed and reliability. Despite these efforts, WSDOT reports show that the toll lanes are not meeting the 45 mph speed target during peak hours, with SR 167 achieving this only 50% of the time and I-405 struggling during the morning southbound commute.
