Snohomish County Council Bans Fireworks Sales in Restricted Areas

The Snohomish County Council has approved an ordinance banning the sale of fireworks in areas where their use is already prohibited, effective May 2025. The ordinance, proposed by Councilmember Strom Peterson, aims to enhance community safety and environmental protection. Public feedback was considered extensively before the unanimous vote. Fireworks can still be legally discharged on July 4th in several county cities under specific regulations.

Ten Suspects in Custody for Major Drug Trafficking in Western Washington

Ten suspects are in custody and face charges in three drug trafficking cases in western Washington, with 13 individuals allegedly involved in distributing fentanyl, meth, cocaine, and Xanax. Two more arrests were made recently, and the investigation has seized large quantities of drugs and firearms.
