Tragic Collision on SR 530: Pickup Truck Driver Killed in Crash with Gasoline Tanker

A deadly crash on State Route 530 near Darrington, Washington, involved a pickup truck and a gasoline tanker truck. The pickup truck driver died at the scene, while the tanker truck driver had minor injuries. Both directions of SR 530 were closed for over five hours for emergency response and investigation. Despite the gasoline spill, there was no explosion risk, and no evacuations were required.
