Technical Glitch Delays Boeing Starliner's First Crewed Flight

Boeing's CST-100 Starliner experienced a delay on its first crewed flight test due to a faulty computer card in the ground launch sequencer system, postponing the launch from June 1 to June 5. NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will test the spacecraft during a one-week stay at the ISS, aiming to certify Starliner for regular missions under NASA's Commercial Crew Program. Previous delays included a scrubbed May launch due to a suspect oxygen relief valve and a helium leak. Despite these issues, NASA and Boeing remain optimistic about Starliner's future in astronaut transportation.

Two Hospitalized Following House Fire in South Everett

A house fire in South Everett on June 4th displaced ten residents and resulted in two hospitalizations. The fire broke out at a clean and sober house on Sixth Avenue West early in the morning, and the cause is under investigation. Firefighters from Everett and South County Fire departments battled the blaze, which caused extensive damage to the back of the structure. The Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents while investigators work through the debris to determine the fire's origin.
