Amazon Invests $25 Million in Affordable Housing Near Transit in Washington State
Amazon is investing $25 million in a public-private partnership to develop affordable housing near public transit in Washington state. This is part of the $2 billion Housing Equity Fund, aimed at creating or preserving 20,000 affordable homes. Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Garfield High Student
A 17-year-old student, Amarr Murphy, was fatally shot while trying to break up a fight at Garfield High School in Seattle. The suspect, a teenager in a red hoodie, is still at large. The community remembers Murphy as a dedicated athlete and peacemaker.

Ceasefire Talks Falter as Israel and Hamas Remain at Odds
Israeli forces have killed a senior Hamas official and continued operations targeting Hamas infrastructure in Gaza. The conflict has resulted in significant Palestinian casualties and displacement. Ceasefire negotiations have stalled after Hamas rejected a US-backed proposal, while Israel remains committed to dismantling Hamas. Tensions have also escalated with Hezbollah in the north.
