Overturned Log Truck Causes Major Power Disruption in Darrington
A log truck overturned in Darrington early Monday morning, causing significant disruptions by crashing into power lines. The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 530 and Fullerton Avenue, leading to a power outage affecting approximately 750 addresses. The truck's driver was injured and taken to a hospital. Nearly 750 customers remained without power, with restoration expected in the PM. The outage impacted about 85% of the town’s residents.

Wrongful Death Lawsuits Surge as Nurse Accused of Replacing Medication with Water
A nurse at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon, is under investigation for allegedly replacing fentanyl IV drips with tap water, leading to the deaths of at least ten patients. This disturbing practice was reportedly part of an effort to cover up the nurse's misuse of the hospital's supply of the powerful pain medication. The incidents have led to significant legal repercussions, with the first wrongful death lawsuit seeking up to $11.5 million in damages filed on behalf of a deceased 65-year-old patient.
