Families Outraged as DOJ Offers Boeing Plea Deal Over 737 Max Crashes

The families of victims from the Boeing 737 Max crashes are expressing their outrage over a proposed plea deal from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). This deal, if accepted, would allow Boeing to settle a criminal fraud charge related to the crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia, which collectively resulted in 346 fatalities.

SWAT Team Rescues Hostages from South Seattle Hair Salon Standoff

Seattle police successfully ended a tense standoff in South Seattle. Officers responded to reports of a man holding hostages inside a hair salon on Rainier Avenue South. The suspect, masked and armed with a gun, had taken multiple individuals captive. After a strategic intervention by the SWAT team, the hostages were safely rescued, and the suspect was arrested without further incident. The situation caused significant disruption in the area but was resolved without any injuries to the hostages or officers​.
