Police Uncover Elaborate Gift Card Scam, Arrest Monroe Woman

A 28-year-old woman, identified as the mastermind behind an elaborate gift card fraud scheme, was arrested at her Monroe apartment. The scheme, which targeted hundreds of victims, resulted in losses of around $100,000 for one business. During the search, detectives found stolen firearms, a credit card embosser, fake check tools, drugs, and $40,000 in cash. She faces multiple charges, including organized retail theft, identity theft, and possession of stolen firearms. Additional charges and arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
