Biden Urges Cease-Fire Progress in Talks with Netanyahu Amid Gaza Conflict

President Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu discussed efforts to secure a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, focusing on a "bridging proposal" despite significant obstacles. Biden stressed the urgency of finalizing a deal during the call, which also involved Vice President Harris. Talks in Cairo and recent regional diplomacy have not yet yielded a breakthrough, with Hamas remaining cautious about Israel's proposed military withdrawals from Gaza. The U.S. continues to push for an agreement amid growing concerns about escalating tensions in the region.
