ATF Warns of Increasingly Common Illegal Gun Modifications in Local Counties

Criminals in Snohomish, Pierce, and King Counties are increasingly using devices like Glock switches and auto sears to convert handguns and rifles into illegal machine guns. The ATF reports a rise in these dangerous modifications, which have been linked to multiple incidents in Western Washington, including crimes involving very young suspects. Despite the potential for severe penalties, these devices remain easily accessible, often through online sources or local 3D printing. Authorities are calling on the community to report any concerns about illegal firearms.

Israeli Forces Rescue Hostage Held Nearly a Year in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency have successfully rescued 52-year-old Qaid Farhan Alkadi, who had been held hostage in Gaza for almost a year following the October 7 terrorist attack. The rescue operation involved various elite Israeli military units, and Alkadi is now in stable condition. Israeli leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to bringing all hostages home, with 108 still held captive in Gaza.
