Suspect Admits to Firing at Cars in I-5 Mass Shooting After Police Didn’t Help
The suspect in the I-5 mass shooting admitted to police that he fired at cars after he believed people were following him and authorities failed to help. Six people were injured as the suspect, who had no prior criminal history, randomly shot into cars in King and Pierce counties. The 44-year-old skipped his first court hearing, but the judge found probable cause to hold him on a $1 million bond. He remains in custody, and some of the injured are showing signs of recovery.

Netanyahu Insists Israeli Troops Will Remain in Key Gaza Corridor
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed that Israeli forces will not leave the Philadelphi Corridor in southern Gaza, citing security concerns over weapon smuggling and hostages. While open to alternatives in theory, Netanyahu insists no viable solution has been presented. Tensions have reportedly risen within Israel’s leadership over this stance, with speculation that Netanyahu is stalling negotiations to eliminate Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Talks, led by the U.S., are ongoing, but progress remains slow.
