Imagine Children’s Museum Welcomes 4 Millionth Visitor with Rooftop Bubble Party

Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett celebrated its 4 millionth visitor on August 28th with a surprise event. The lucky visitor, Aaron, was awarded a lifetime membership and goodie bag. To mark the milestone, the museum hosted a 15-minute rooftop “Million Bubble Salute” dance party with millions of bubbles filling the air. The museum, which celebrated its 30th anniversary and expansion last year, continues to thrive with a dedicated base of visitors.

Suspect in Custody Following Carjacking and School Lockdown in Kent

A teenage suspect was arrested after a carjacking led to a temporary lockdown at Kentridge High School. The suspect allegedly stole a car at gunpoint from a Newcastle man during a test drive and later abandoned the vehicle at the school. Police apprehended the suspect inside the school, and a modified lockdown remains in place while the investigation continues.

Ukrainian F-16 Pilot Killed in Crash During Major Russian Aerial Assault

A top Ukrainian pilot, Oleksiy Mes ("Moonfish"), was killed when his F-16 fighter jet crashed during a Russian aerial attack, just weeks after Ukraine received the long-awaited jets. Moonfish, one of the few Ukrainian pilots trained to fly the F-16, had been instrumental in Ukraine's efforts to secure the jets. The crash is under investigation, and his death marks a significant blow to Ukraine’s air defense strategy. Moonfish was posthumously awarded the rank of colonel.
