Despite a 41.4% rise in active inventory, housing demand remains strong, supported by declining mortgage rates. Home sales decreased by 2.6%, and the average time to sell a home increased to 50 days, four days longer than last year. Seattle ranks third in the nation for price growth, and experts anticipate continued demand heading into the fall.

Fatal Collision Closes West Casino Road in Everett

A fatal collision has led to the closure of West Casino Road in Everett. Police are investigating the scene, and the road will remain shut down in both directions. One person was killed, and another driver has been hospitalized.
