Stolen Car Pursuit Closes U.S. 2, Deputies and Suspects Hospitalized

A police chase in Snohomish County led to the closure of U.S. 2 between Snohomish and Monroe. The chase began after deputies responded to a vehicle theft and ended when spike strips were used to stop the stolen car. Three sheriff's deputies sustained minor injuries from a collision and were treated at a local hospital. The driver, a Seattle man, and a passenger were also hospitalized with minor injuries. The highway has since reopened after being fully closed for several hours.
