Israeli Strike in Gaza Leaves 90 Dead, Draws Calls for Investigation

An Israeli strike on a residential building in Gaza’s Beit Lahia resulted in over 90 reported casualties, with many still missing. Israel claims the building was targeted due to an individual observing troops, unaware that it sheltered displaced people. U.S. officials called the incident “horrifying” and requested a full investigation. Local hospitals face overwhelming numbers of dead and injured, intensifying humanitarian concerns amid ongoing military operations and critical shortages for civilians remaining in the area.
