Two Killed in New Year’s Eve Crash on US 2 in Snohomish

Two women were killed in a head-on collision on US 2 in Snohomish on New Year’s Eve morning. The crash involved a 50-year-old Stanwood woman and Jennifer Lang, 50, of Monroe. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but both women were pronounced dead at the scene. US 2 was closed for nearly four hours as investigators worked to determine the cause. Heavy fog may have been a factor, though the investigation is ongoing.
